X Hubs make stopping along the way during long distance road trips an experience to remember. The Excursion Center gets travelers in touch with their inner adventurers and connects them with activities and local sights to explore nearby. After spending the day out and about, they can grab a bite to eat, relax at the spa, and catch a movie on the roof before making their way to their hub. Whether that be a solo or family hub, it makes the perfect crash pad after a long day of adventuring and sets them up to be ready to go again in the morning.
This vehicle is designed for family travel. It aims to provide comfort and space to move for families. The vehicle also has entertainment options for parents and it has a dedicated kids zone. Each family member can now enjoy their commute time and feel fresh even at the end of the journey.
X Hub's main theme, the green-centered logo, and the color guide were set to express concepts such as nature, family, and journey. And the overall UX flow focused on how unique functions and sensibilities can be provided for the family persona. By improving the pain point that only families can have, users can enjoy nature comfortably on the X Hub.
Inspired by earth berm architecture, the Excursion Center melds seamlessly into the environment, wrapping in a gentle curve which allows visitors access up to the living green roof. Glass faces offer sweeping views while the central atrium allows the maximization of daylighting. The careful arrangement of our site allows a massive sundial to cast shadows on each of the hubs at certain times of day. These hubs are modular forms built with convenience in mind, designed differently for each location to reflect the local landscape.
